Gypsum production consists of following milestones:

Crushing and screening of gypsum stone to 0-300 mm fraction size.

Storage of fractions 0-300 mm.

Loading and transportation of gypsum stone from a warehouse to a plant.

Preparation of natural gypsum in silos.

Grinding and drying of natural gypsum.

Calcination.

Cooling.

Warehousing.

Dry mortars mixing.

Packaging.

Palletizing.

Crushing and Screening Department

Crushing and screening of gypsum stone to 0-300 mm fraction is performed at crushing and screening facility located at the quarry. Present facility will operate 7 (seven) months a year due to seasonal and climatic specifics. The production output of the facility will be 120 thousand tons per annum. Storage of gypsum raw materials for drying, as well as building-up a capacity for winter season production. (up to 40,000 tons).

Natural gypsum transportation

Gypsum is transported using SHACMAN dump trucks.

Silo loading department

The silo loading department with a capacity for 16 hours feeding of a 300-ton furnace.

Grinding department

Gypsum stone grinding department with drying and precalcinization.

Calcination Department

A crystalline water of gypsum stone is removed at this department using a vertical boiler (CaSO4 + 2H2O —–> CaSO4 + 1/2H2O). This processes is fully automated.

The capacity of this boiler will be 333 tons per day (continuous cycle).

Crushing and Separation Department

The department is mainly represented by two mills and a separator. Calcinated gypsum is crushed in centrifugal mills and is classified into two fractions using dynamic air separator.

  • Coarse fraction (60-300 microns): used for such mixtures as perlite gypsum plaster, machine plaster, etc.
  • Fine fraction (0-60 microns): used for such finishing mixtures as a satin polishing mixture, etc.
Gypsum Powder Cooling Department

Here, the gypsum powder is cooled from its initial inlet temperature of 160 degrees down to 80 degrees. Capacity – 333 tons per day at 22 working hours per day.

Warehousing

Storage of ready gypsum powder. The storage capacity of warehouse will be 4,000 tons.

Dry Mortars Mixing Department

The process of production of gypsum-based dry mortars requires three types of components:

  • Key component: gypsum powder produced at the plant
  • Auxiliary components: limestone, anhydride (marble powder), perlite, etc.
  • Chemical additives
  • The dry mortars mixing line is equipped with Finland brand «Bevako» equipment and is a complete facility consisting of several floors for each procedure. The plant is divided into several parts:
  • Storage silos at the top of tower. Silos for key and auxiliary components
  • Dosing. Dispensers and weighing hoppers
  • Mixing
  • Mixed product hopper
  • Packing line
  • Production capacity of workshop is 283 tons per day with a double shift mode.
Product Packaging Department

The product arrives whether from dry mortar mixing department or directly from gypsum powder warehouse for further packaging into 5/25/30 kg. bags. The production capacity of this department subject to double shift operation is 21 (twenty one) ton per hour, or 336 tons per day.

Palletizing Department

Here, all packed products are stacked on pallets.

Finished goods yard

All products will be stored in a yard of 1,440 sq.m. with storage capacity up to 4,000 tons of product.
